Kensington’s Hidden Gem

The Britannia is tucked away just off Kensington’s busy High Street at No. 1 Allen Street, in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, and we’ve been looking after their guests since 1834. Proudly sitting on the old Britannia Brewery site, our pub is steeped in history.
Relax in our cosy bar area with the real fire place and comfy leather armchairs whilst our team looks after you with premium service, style and simplicity.

Upstairs there are two dedicated private rooms called Monty & Willow which make us the perfect venue for your upcoming party or next business meeting- with its own fully stocked bar.

Whether you’re relaxing in their main bar with a pint of real ale, enjoying some fresh British classics in the dining room, hosting an event upstairs, or attending a conference, we fully encourage you to make yourselves at home.

This Summer, we will be showing all of the action from the Euro’s where England hope to compete for the top prize! As the top pub in South Kensington, with two 72″ tv’s & two bars to grab your drinks from, make sure you book so you don’t miss even one kick of the ball. Coming soon

We have plenty planned for the coming months, grab your diary and pencil us in.

A Hidden Gem

I stumbled upon this one early-ish on a weekday. I had just arrived and wanted a good lunch and a pint. Because this pub seems to be hiding from the world, it was empty. Something I’m not used to with pubs at lunchtimes. Very cozy and plush, I could have stayed in this one all day. There was a fire going and the food was great.

Pleasant Dining Experience

Pleasant space at back for table dining and small side terrace; really good food and beer/wine selection and smiling service… What more do you need?

Nostalgic Pub Classic

Every place has a different take on bangers and mash, as does every person. My opinion was formed in the Cambridge area close to thirty years ago when I first encountered the dish. Brittania’s is very close. 5 stars for nostalgia.

Fantastic Spot in London

A great pub to go and enjoy a few drinks with your friends or have a nice meal. The atmosphere is really nice and everyone that works there are absolutely brilliant, especially the waiting staff who made our visit extra special with their kind and courteous attitude. Will certainly be back again soon!
