The Flour Station
The Flour Station has been baking authentic and distinctive breads since October 2004. They are influenced by a variety of European baking disciplines, particularly Italian and British, paying close attention to techniques and baking processes that were readily in use in the last century. Although not a certified organic bakery, they do recognize the importance of provenance and responsibility in the purchasing of their ingredients and in particular their flour. We look to the past, present and future to be inspired to make bread the way that it use to be, but with a recipe, flavor and inspiration that is simply quite delicious.
Richard Murray’s Fish
Richards experience is from the oyster beds of Mersea Island, RSPCA approved Wester Ross salmon farm in Ullapool and creel fishing for langoustine off the coast of Western Scotland. The majority of his fish comes from inshore boats that don't go out for more than 24 hours and can be out for no more than 10 hours and ensures excellent quality fish. Mersea Island and the Isle of Wight are only 70 miles from London. Murray’s offers a range of fish that come from sustainable stocks; amongst others, Newlyn monkfish, megrim sole, ling, pollock, line-caught bass, grey mullet,
mackerel, sardines and squid.
